Air Fryer Dehydrated Strawberries (Fruit, How to)


Air fryer dehydrated strawberries are easy to make. You only need 1 ingredient. All you need is strawberries to make a healthy spin on this delicious fruit. Air fryer dehydrated strawberries are the perfect snack for on the go or can be added into a meal, snack or treat. It is also a perfect way to use fruit that may be expiring soon.

How to Dehydrate Strawberries in the Air Fryer:

  1. Wash strawberries and allow to dry.
  2. Slice strawberries in thin, even 1/8 inch cuts and discard stems.
  3. Lay strawberry slices in a single layer on the air fryer tray.
  4. Use the Dehydrate preset at the lowest temperature setting of 130 degrees F for 2 hours.
  5. Flip strawberry slices at 2 hours then continue to dehydrate for an additonal 1 to 2 hours at 130 degrees F.
  6. Remove the strawberry slices from the tray. Allow to cool then enjoy or store in an airtight container.

How do I know When the Strawberries are Done Dehydrating?

You will know when your strawberries are done dehydrating when they are slightly shriveled, are not soggy, and have a crisp texture. I prefer my dehydrated strawberries slightly chewy and air fry the strawberries at 130 degrees F for a total of 3 hours.

Does Dehydrated Fruit Lose Nutrients?

Dehydrated fruit per most sources will only lose minimal nutrients or the process retains the nutritional value. Per Webmd, “The dehydrating process retains a food’s original nutritional value.”
