Who doesn’t want, crispy golden chicken smothered in marinara sauce and topped with gooey melted cheese . Every bite is one to savior. Okay, did i make you hungry?

Why Should You Make Air Fryer Chicken Parmesan?

I prefer the taste of air fryer chicken Parmesan over the stove top or oven. The air fryer leaves the chicken crisp and golden. There is also no added oil, no messy stove top and no preheating the oven. Air fryer chicken Parmesan is also fast. In under 15 minutes, you get a meal!

Ingredients:

2 large skinless, boneless chicken breasts

Kinder’s The Blend

2 large eggs

1 tablespoon of milk (optional)

1/2 cup Italian seasoned breadcrumbs

1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese

1 cup marinara sauce

1 cup shredded mozzarella or Italian cheese blend

Fresh parsley or basil

How to make Air Fryer Chicken Parmesan:

  1. Create an egg wash. In a large bowl big enough to lay chicken in, crack open 2 eggs and discard shells. Add 1 tablespoon of milk (optional) then whisk or use a fork to whip eggs until well combined and frothy and set aside.
  2. Create the breading mixture. Add 1/2 cup of Italian seasoned breadcrumbs into a large bowl, add in 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese and whisk together and setaside.
  3. Place chicken breasts on a cutting board.
  4. Choose a sharp serrated knife. Serrated knifes work best as it has a saw-like edge that can easily cut through dense items. Carefully hold the top of one chicken breast with your non-dominant hand on the cutting board and slice the chicken breast in half horizontally from one end of the chicken breast to the other end with your dominant hand. Repeat process for all chicken breast. This should create roughly 2 equal pieces per 1 chicken breast.
  5. Season both sides of the chicken breast with Kinder’s The Blend. This is the perfect blend of salt, pepper and garlic. I have tried to recreate it but Kinder’s does it best.
  6. Dip both sides of sliced chicken into the egg wash and allow extra egg wash to drip off the chicken.
  7. Dip both sides of the sliced chicken breast into the breading mixture to thoroughly coat chicken.
  8. Spray air fryer basket or tray with olive oil.
  9. Place each breaded chicken slice in the air fryer basket or tray.
  10. Select Airfry at 400 degrees F for 6 minutes.
  11. After 6 minutes turn breaded chicken slices over and continue to cook for an additonal 4 minutes.
  12. Once timer goes off carefully spoon marinara sauce on top of each chicken slice and generously cover with shredded mozzarella cheese or Italian cheese blend.
  13. Cook for an additional 1-3 minutes until the cheese has melted and is bubbling.
  14. Garnish with parsley or basil as desired.
  15. Serve warm.

  • Pasta is always a classic go to side. One step into the pasta aisle will prove the endless varieties to choose from. My favorite is rotini. You can also go with a healthier option with whole wheat, gluten free or chickpea pasta.

Notes

 
  • Do not overcrowd the basket or tray.
  • If you are doing more than one batch then the second batch may cook faster. The air fryer will be warm or preheated and may not require the same amount of time.
  • Cooking temperature and time may vary based on air fryer model and manufacture. This recipe uses the Cuisinart Digital Airfryer Toaster Oven.
